Gullo Construction, Inc., was established in April 1982, building homes in Houston, Texas, and surrounding areas. We built homes on a speculative basis and were also commissioned directly by individuals to build custom homes. However, like most things in life - "things change" - and due to the slumping general economy in the mid-1980s, we stopped building homes on a speculative basis and began to focus primarily on remodeling. Remodeling proved to be much more challenging and rewarding; however, we still build homes for individuals when the opportunity arises.

Today, Gullo Construction, Inc., is a full-service residential general contractor. We can assist you from start to finish on your project, providing general suggestions, interior design consultation, all necessary plans and permits, and—of course—actual construction services. Also, if you're considering purchasing a used home that will need updating and need approximate costs before you move forward, then we can help with this as well.

In this day and age it's very important to be familiar with current local, state, and federal building codes. That's why we're members of the Greater Houston Builders Association, the Texas Association of Builders, and the National Association of Home Builders—we also sit on the Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals for the City of Jersey Village, Texas. When we started our business over 30 years ago, you could build an entire home with five to six pages of plans and specifications; today, simply adding a room to an existing house may require as many as 15 to 20 pages of plans, engineered drawings, and documentation in order to get a building permit. The same also holds true for the inspection process. So, it's important to have a contractor that's knowledgeable about current building codes, energy codes, OSHA rules, and new laws dealing with lead-based paint.

When we start your construction project, we aren't going to roll up to your home with brightly-colored vans, but we are going to cover your furniture and flooring and keep your home as clean as possible. Furthermore, the owner of Gullo Construction, Frank Gullo, Jr., will personally supervise the project from start to finish.

We've built our business on referrals and repeat business from past clients, which is a telling sign of customer satisfaction. Give us a call and let us earn your business.
